Spirit Airlines
an astrological perspective
On May 2, 2026 at 3:00 am, Spirit Airlines ceased to exist. Thousands of people with no warning were left without jobs over-night. Thousands of flights cancelled over the next month. It was a devastating night for many people across the country.
In my Aries Ingress Midpoints post, I mention the configuration of the 2H Lot of Fortune with the 9H Pluto making a midpoint to the 11H Moon, and throughout the context of the chart I predicted this would bring problems to airports and air-travel.
I’ve been taking a little break from reading daily astrology charts, but this same configuration of the Lot of Fortune and Pluto to the Moon is echoed in the Spirit Airlines chart.
In this chart of the moment for Spirit Airlines, we can see the Syzygy Moon (or the degree of the most recent full/new Moon) is represented by the “#” sign on my charts.
When we point the dial at the Syzygy Moon(this weekend’s full moon degree) it brings up those same configurations, showing the recent full moon’s activation of this energy of destruction in the airline industry.
Another interesting repeat of configurations is that in the chart of the Spirit Airlines event, the Moon picks up the midpoint of the Lot of Spirit and Pluto. In the Aries Ingress Chart the midpoint of Pluto and Lot of spirit is picked up by the syzygy Moon of the Aries ingress chart. So we have this interesting energy, that I can only describe as “Very Pisces” of this Aries Ingress (Both Syzygy Moon of the Aries Ingress and the Moon of the Aries Ingress were in Pisces)
Often times, when big events happen something is activating the current ingress chart, which is why I like to root all of my predictions to it. There is A LOT of information we can get by bringing these midpoints into the full chart and reading through the houses.
For example the Libra Moon of the Spirit Airlines chart transiting the 6H of the Ingress chart, trine the 2H Jupiter and the fact that this was based largely on finances/resources. This is in the 9H of the Spirit Airlines chart, bringing in flight significations again, we can do a lot with reading the houses, signs, and rulership’s of both charts and bringing them together cohesively.

I enjoy using Midpoints to show significance in certain planetary connections, then reading the houses, deriving houses, and dissect the configurations in any way I can. I hope that this use for midpoints can spark your curiosity and interest in this less-used technique. It’s always interesting to see the smallest patterns repeat amongst the bigger picture.
