Mercury is stationing direct opposite the Moon, just a day before its full. Mercury will stay motionless as the Moon transits opposite the Sun filling our night sky with light from the sign of Taurus. As the Moon is Full in it's sign of exaltation, shining down on Mercury and the Sun in Scorpio, it will be revealing the depths we've traveled through the previous lunation while ushering us forward with this new insight we have gained before Mercury takes off to move forward through the zodiac again.
The Astro Jargon

The event chart for Mercury's station find's its ascendant in Taurus with the Moon and Jupiter in a conjunction of one degree. The Sun is placed opposite, in Scorpio, with our stationed Mercury 5 degrees below the descendant. Ruling Scorpio, is Mars in Cancer placed in the third house with the IC, pulling in an opposition from Venus in Capricorn in the ninth house. Saturn occupies the tenth house of Aquarius, and the Nodes reside in the fifth and eleventh house axis with the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo.
The Moon and Jupiter are conjoined in the Naksatra Rohini, which has interesting significations considering the state of the world. These significations are coming from the book "The Nakshatras: A Journey into the World of Vedic Astrology (In Search of Jyotish Book 10)," by Sarajit Poddar. The Moon in Rohini can signify a cough, coughing fits, or throat infections, while a Moon and Jupiter conjunction in the fourth carana of Rohini can signify dairy farms. I'm expecting more sickness from raw milk to be broadcast on the news, and likely more re-calls to happen around raw milk as Mercury begins to transit through Scorpio again. With covid's main symptoms being cough and sore throat, I expect covid to be extremely active at this time as well. Wearing a mask in public to help prevent the spread of disease to our communities can be a small part we can take to mitigate the growing crisis around two pandemics developing at once.
Both the Moon and Jupiter are in the sign of Cancer in the Navamsa chart, signifying an added strength in their matters. While Jupiter sits in Capricorn in the Dwadasamsa chart and the Moon falls in Aquarius. This brings in a dynamic, to me, of wanting to cultivate and provide a safe and nourishing space for ourselves but not having the access to the right resources at this time. It seems like both a financial and also an inter-personal type of friction. We may not have the finances to get what we need, but on top of that we are having some harsher interactions with others that make us unsure of certain relationships as well. We do know what we need though, in a sense, so taking note of our needs at this time while we wait out the harsher transits and for more resources come to our disposal will be a productive use of the current astrological dynamics.
Mercury is stationing in the Naksatra Anuradha which brings in significations of conflict, depression, and restlessness. This will also bring up topics around issues with sex due to stationing in the third carana of this Naksatra. There will be a focus on these themes within conflicts we are facing connected to this Mercury retrograde. I expect a lot of conflict we encounter will take place in our personal relationships and friendships, affecting those we are closer to rather than acquaintances.
The Midpoints in our Lives
The midpoints to the Sun bring in a general disconnected feeling to our lives. We may feel as if we are zoning out more than usual, and may have a harder time staying on task. The South Node and Saturn from the Mercury Station chart are making a midpoint to the Sun in the seventh house of Scorpio. We may feel an inherent distance and disconnect from those we love and those normally feel really close to. Maybe we are more quiet than usual, or possibly they aren't as chatty when they get home after a long day. Whatever the circumstance, we will be feeling a distance and will be trying to fill that with little compliments or offers of help while doing errands and chores.
There is a chance we have caught someone in a lie, or have found out some new information about someone in our life that brings disappointment and avoidance. It's a situation we don't want to directly face quite yet, but one that we will be ruminating on over the next couple of days and possibly throughout the rest of Mercury's time in Scorpio. The Sun does make the concerning midpoint to the Libra Ingress chart's Sun/Saturn Midpoint, which signifies illness, disease, and lower energy levels. It's advised to take it easy if you need to, there's no need to push yourself when even the astrology says it won't be beneficial. This is a good time to focus on your health as a main priority, and take care of your body while it's defenses are low. The Sun is picking up a cute midpoint from the Libra Ingress of Venus and the Lot of Spirit, and I feel that this points to us filling the disappointments and struggles of life with little treats and spoils to ourselves and friends. Grabbing a coffee with a loved one, buying that notebook you've been keeping an eye on, or admiring the holiday lights in the neighborhood with your children may bring more light into life than expected for such small gestures. Little things will feel bigger at this time, including the little good things. It will be up to us to weave these good moments into our lives, around the bad, to help balance ourselves amongst the varying problems we are juggling.
When I look to the midpoints of the Moon, I get a general feeling of fulfillment. Throughout everything, we will reach a level of contentment in a way. We can see clearly around us after Mercury's retrograde, and we have new insight to things that were previously invisible to our eye. We will feel like being social butterflies in a sense, and be chatty with acquaintances and distant family. We will be catching up with people we haven't heard from in a while, and sharing some comforting and cheerful moments. It seems almost like a way to make up for the distance we feel within the midpoints to the Sun that I have already mentioned. The distance between those we are close to is filled with chattering with others for the time being. Maybe we just need to talk to people who don't know our burdens and vice-versa for lighter conversation, and this is more enjoyable and sought after during these other inter-personal struggles. There is a midpoint of the Vertex and Mars from the Libra ingress that forms on the transiting Moon, which can bring in a sudden bought of anxiety related to sudden expenses or sudden changes around your area of work. There may be sudden tension with co-workers or colleagues, or maybe a surprise bill you forgot about that brings in some sudden budget changes in order to balance your checking account.
Mercury's midpoints are... a lot. We have Mercury stationed in the seventh house of Scorpio picking up a midpoint from Uranus and the Moon in the first house of Taurus, further amplifying this opposition. It's almost as if there was a slip up recently, someone told you something that led you to the truth. Or maybe you sleuthed enough to find the answers on your own. Regardless, there is new insight that has brought in some sudden changes to how you want to approach certain people within your life. Our minds will be stimulated by the personal dramas surrounding these themes, and budding with plans and considering the outcomes. While we keep these midpoints in mind as a main focus, other midpoints to the Moon bring up lies and rumors. It's important to be discerning of what you hear from people, and their motives behind saying certain things if the relationship feels “off." There is a theme of lying for gain being brought in by a midpoint formed to the IC and Neptune, which can be either our own lies or those of others. I'd advise being careful with who you interact with on an intimate level if you've had prior uncertainty of their intentions, and wait it out a bit longer to see if anything concerning comes up.
I wanted to dig in to the midpoints to Mars as well, since Mars is such a critical planet in the transits right now. It is ruling both the Sun and Mercury, while in Cancer the sign of Jupiter's exaltation and the Moon's domicile. Mars has a strong hold on a lot of the transits currently, and is also currently retrograding as Mercury once was. Mars is bringing up midpoints of correspondence and team-work with others but also holds the danger of creating 'echo chambers' where everyone praises the same ideas and keeps building the same thing but bigger. The problem with echo chambers is that they become so focused, we sometimes lose the plot, but we also lose beneficial insight from outside points of view. This theme is further solidified by the midpoints of the Descendant and the Vernal Point, the Descendant and Neptune, and Pluto and Venus. We may find ourselves amongst unruly people, and within this buildup there will be disappointment because expectations are not met in a way that everyone can agree on. So we have these echo chambers bolstering an idea, but a lack of communication and expectations about how to carry out these ideas into action and change. It's possible we may also be our own echo chambers, supporting our own point of view and dying on that hill while refusing to compromise and make room for cooperation with others. There may be disagreements in the home about seemingly small things, or possibly disagreements with those at work because we don't have the same vision for how to carry things to the same shared goal.
This Mercury station will be a point within our current stories that has a way of revealing what we need to know exactly when we needed to know it, in order to prepare and plot for the future. We feel as if we are in a place where we can begin to plan, and once our physical and mental energy even out we will have a solid foundation laid for the things we want to pursue or achieve.
In the World
When we zoom out and consider the state of affairs currently for the United States, this Mercury station seems like a critical point in a lot of the relationships and ties the US has with other countries. Most of the focus of this transit is picking up communication with allies and enemies based on house placement, but the sign placement suggest tensions are building within these relationships. The midpoints of the Descendant and Neptune of the Mercury station chart to Mars tell us that the government will not be straightforward with it's words, and will try to deceive us in some ways. It's likely we wont hear the full extent of the US's actions and hand in the current wars, but also receive and onslaught of misinformation and disinformation over the same matters. I'd be highly critical of news about the US's involvement in Israel's war, as they are still continuing to try to cover up the genocide of the Palestinian people. I could see an increase in weapon exports and money to countries like Israel and Ukraine as tensions build up in these areas, either provoked by Russia or Israel.
While considering the midpoints of misinformation, the case of Luigi Mangione is very connected to the current eclipse cycle and Mars retrograde. I plan on doing a separate post or video about how Luigi Mangione fits into the current transits of this revolution, but at this time Mars is bringing in misinformation around the case to help protect those with financial power in the US. There's a theme of putting out fires while spreading misinformation in hopes of preventing an uprising of sorts. Many people in the country have been brutalized by the unfair healthcare system in the United States, and the country's leaders know this. They are afraid of what would happen if enough people felt like they had the power to turn against the current system. It's likely they will claim Luigi's offence was unfounded, but how many people did this CEO's policies kill by denying their claims and making people pay for often unnecessary and debilitating surgeries? There is a moral divide in the country, about what the punishment for such a CEO should be, whether that should be death or something else. But, there is an overwhelming wave of outpouring hate for how the healthcare system is currently set up. This system destroys people's lives, and this topic is finally being placed in the governments hands in an unavoidable way.
Sadly the midpoints point to the government not wanting to compromise. So it's likely we will see an influx of authoritarian values building alongside the influx of disappointment with the current government. This also seems to be a very bi-partisan based class issue, rather than the usual left versus right dynamic that the US generally faces. It will be interesting to observe how the government tries to silence both sides of the political spectrum over a vital issue like this. I could see more distrust with the government forming, and the governing body further distancing itself from the needs of those they govern.
There are indications of the spread of disease in the midpoints as well as with the Moon and Jupiter as I have mentioned in the beginning of this post. I imagine we will be learning more about the bird flu pandemic, and also keep seeing increases in the amount of covid infections. While Mars is retrograding I expect we will receive new information about the implications of multiple covid infections that came to light during this Mercury retrograde. Mars is still in a Naksatra that is symbolized by a cow udder, Naksatra Pushya. This makes me wary of H5N1, considering the significations of the Moon and Jupiter conjoined in Taurus, an animal sign that can represent farm animals and products we consume from them. I have mentioned in previous posts that I believe this retrograde is the buildup to human-to-human transmission, and I expect that to become more of a factor once Mars dips into Gemini during its retrograde. I'll be keeping a close eye on both pandemics, as the conditions for them growing side by side are very strong and foundational.
There are strong themes around sex and family planning when considering the houses and signs being picked up in the midpoints, and the Naksatra of Mercury’s station. Naksatra Anuradha has themes of conflict while the third carana, where Mercury sits, brings in themes of sex, particularly sex outside of marriage. There is the chance that attacks against LGBTQ people and sex workers may begin to get more coverage in the US media. People will be more vocal about their opinions surrounding family planning and birth control, while also being critical of those outside of the “traditional” familial dynamics. I wouldn’t be surprised to see states begin introducing their laws against various forms of abortion and birth control, including the Plan B pill. This theme is very connected to the retrograde Mars in Cancer, given the familial significations that come along with the sign of Cancer, so it’s likely this will be building for months to come until it reaches a more critical point in the transits to our current revolution chart.
In addition to the above, there is a theme of a spotlight on the US from it's allies, watching to see what the country is going to do amidst the varying topics I have discussed. It's likely that conflict will continue around the potential of Trump’s tariffs, but I see a lot of scrutiny placed on the United States at this time from it's allies based in it's hand in the current war that Israel is pursuing. Israel recently began to invade Syria, in much the same way they invaded Palestine a year ago. They are only able to do this with the direct support from allies like the United States, in fact even the US military was bombing Syria within the last week. This genocide enacted by Israel and supported by the United States will have untold circumstances concerning the United States' relationship with other countries. The world can see what the US is doing, and they see that the US will stop at nothing to pursue a personal agenda.
