Mars Uranus Conjunction in Taurus
An Analysis on the Influence of Outer Planets Within Traditional Techniques
How significant are the outer planets? This has been debated among the more traditional astrologers, although they have been used quite often by more modern astrologers. Curiosity fuels my practice, I learned traditional tropical astrology, then went to Jyotish to understand the nodes and divisional charts and now primarily practice Jyotish techniques. I currently don’t use the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) within traditional delineation techniques in the Jyoish system, because all of the techniques work as a full system without them.
The traditional planets in astrology (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn) all have signs they rule, specific significations for Dasa periods, and they all have signs they don’t do well in because of the established friendships between these planets within the whole system of Jyotish. Outer planets, like Uranus, have no room to enter this system from the way it operates, but I’m curious if we can still read these outer planets as a house/sign signification.
When a traditional planet conjoins an outer, maybe it marks a moment in time that may be significant for the outer planets ongoing influence in that house. For example, when Mars conjoined Uranus it gave us a chart of the moment, and reading the chart in a traditional way just knowing Mars is going to be amplified with the ‘sudden’ energy we relate to Uranus. So it’s a significant moment in time for Mars’ transit through Taurus, where it is debilitated and squaring its ruler Venus in Leo.
If you haven’t noticed, the past few weeks have been a little wild. I have a whole list of events I will mention after the analysis, and I’m sure I’m still missing a lot. While going through this chart, I was also curious what events happened during the previous Mars/Uranus conjunction in 2024. The conjunction happened around the time of the Trump assassination attempt, and Biden dropping out of the presidential race. Taurus is the seventh house of the United States Sibley chart (the birth chart of the united states) and Uranus will be transiting here for years to come. So what influence will it really have? And how significant will transits to this planet be within the context of our country’s relations both internal and external?
2026 Mars/Uranus Conjunction Traditional Analysis
The conjunction occurred in the first house of the Aries Ingress chart for the year, giving additional context for what areas of life it will affect. The ascendant of the conjunction occurred in the twelfth house of Aries, which can bring in context as well. The twelfth house can represent loss, donations, hospitalization, imprisonment, secret enemies, fear from enemies, and foreign places. The first house can represent self, appearance, the head, and within mundane astrology the general condition of the country and it’s inhabitants as a whole. The second house represents resources, truthfulness and family morals, and steadiness of the mind.
The first house of the Mars Uranus conjunction chart is in the twelfth of the Aries ingress, while the second house of the conjunction chart is in the first house of the ingress. We can layer these house associations in this way to get a deeper delineation. For example, the conjunction can signify losses to both vitality and finances for the country, and so on. Secret enemies come to the forefront. Resources take a hit in a visible way that harms people in the country. As I read the chart, I wont go as deeply into the delineation process, because it is mostly word spaghetti over here, but I wanted you all to be able to understand my process of rooting event charts to the ingress.
Mars Analysis

Mars is in Taurus, with its d2 being Cancer, d3 in Virgo, and d9 being in Aries. From this analysis we can read that Mars will be behaving in a way that doesn’t make sense, and makes things come into fruition in an unexpected way. With the d9 being Aries, we can assume that Mars will come into fruition, but this is still ruled by the Rasi Mars in Taurus.
Mars rules the first and eighth houses of the chart, bringing in themes of public disgrace, debts, disease, and ill fame to a focus in the world. This is also happening in the 12 and 7 houses of the Aries ingress, so we know these themes will also include partnerships within our country and others’, and also the themes of loss, imprisonment, secret enemies, etc.
Venus Analysis
Venus is in Leo conjoined Ketu, in the d2 placed in Leo, d3 in Leo, and d9 in Aries. Venus is not doing well, trust. While ruling the second house conjunction in Taurus and the seventh house of Libra bringing in significations of agreements and partnerships. Not to mention Venus is receiving dristi from Mars, furthering the affliction to both planets. All things Venus rules within the houses will be afflicted in some way.
Venus rules the second and seventh houses in the conjunction chart, and the first and sixth houses of the ingress chart. We can expect alliances or agreements to break, to be fought over. We can expect debates on moral matters that cause strife in communities and within relationships.
Venus is placed in the fifth house of the conjunction chart, and the fourth house of the ingress chart. So we can expect the matters of these relationships to take on this theme. So strife in relationships and agreements to do with land, real estate, agriculture and farming, health, diseases (especially with links to the gastro-intestinal system through house associations), accidents, enemies, and relatives. In our more personal lives this can bring strife within the home, relationships with family, and possibly financial troubles.
Mercury Analysis
Mercury is retrograde in Cancer, as well as in all divisional charts. So Mercury isn’t doing too well either. Mercury rules the third and sixth houses of the conjunction chart, and the second and fifth houses of the Ingress chart. Mercury in Cancer is in the fourth house of the conjunction chart, and the third house of the ingress chart. Already we can see quite a bit of third house energy, which rules over communications, short travels, k-12 education, newspapers, communications infrastructure, internet, cell phones, etc. We can expect to see litigation in these areas, as well as trouble with them.
The second and fifth house bring in more significations of children, resources, knowledge and scholarship, means of earning, celebrities, the wealthy, and the entertainment industry. Within our more personal lives this can rule some of the above, but also over our feelings of creativity and our relationship with the act of creation.
Moon Analysis
The Moon is in Aquarius conjoined Rahu, while opposite Venus in Leo. The Moons d2 is Leo, d3 in Aquarius, and the d9 of the Moon is in Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter in Cancer in the Rasi. The vibe I’m getting from this is a hungry Moon. A Moon that wants more and more, it can’t contain because it can’t feel its body’s limits. Injuries can be a common theme just reading the planets.
The Moon rules the fourth house of the conjunction chart, the third house of the ingress chart, while is placed in the eleventh house of the conjunction chart, and the tenth house of the ingress chart. I feel a hunger for support and yearning for more authority and control. Using communications, infrastructure, and news reporting or interviews to try to garner authority and support from others. There may be a theme of seeking support from home, seeking support from family, or using access to resources in your favor with no thought of consequences. We may also see this come out within Venus’ realm as well, due to the opposition. And vice-versa.
Sun Analysis
Sun is in Gemini, ruled by that afflicted Mercury, while ruling over an already afflicted Venus in Leo. The Sun’s d2 is in Cancer, d3 in Libra, and d9 in Pisces ruled by the Rasi Jupiter in Cancer. The Sun rules the fifth house of the conjunction chart, and the fourth house of the ingress chart, while being placed in the third house of the conjunction chart and the second house of the ingress chart.
We can expect to see a focus on communication of resources and moral standing, as well as a focus on truthfulness. Within the realm of resources and weapons for the country, it is middling. Things look bad for farms, land ownership, real estate, children, mothers, women, and within areas of wealth accumulation. There will be communications, discussions, and debates around all things Venusian and Solar, as well as within the realm of technology, advancement of technology, and specifically data centers with the 4h and 2h significations combined with Mercury.
Jupiter Analysis
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, while ruled by a debilitated Moon. Jupiter’s d2 is in Cancer, d3 in Cancer, but d9 in Virgo. Virgo being ruled by the debilitated Mercury in Cancer. Jupiter has good determination right now, but is being blocked from fruition by Mercury ruling it’s d9.
Jupiter rules the ninth and twelfth houses of the conjunction chart, while ruling the eighth and eleventh houses in the ingress chart. Jupiter is placed in the fourth house in the conjunction chart, and the third house of the ingress chart.
We can expect themes of home, the mother, lineage, siblings and family, reserves ad resources, clashing with themes of loss of support, making compromise for mutual support, loss within long distance travel, religion, judges/judgements, higher learning, problems with the father/authority, and a loss of compassion in general.
Saturn Analysis
Saturn is in Pisces, ruled by the debilitated exalted Jupiter. Saturn’s d2 is in Leo, d3 in Scorpio, and d9 in Capricorn ruled by Saturn in Pisces from the rasi. Though Saturn gains some strength in the d9, it’s ruler is still debilitated. I’m getting a Saturn that inspires events based on paranoid reactions and, within this, only a partly fulfilled promise is foretold.
Saturn rules the tenth and eleventh houses of the conjunction chart, and the ninth and tenth houses of the ingress chart, while being placed in the twelfth house of the conjunction chart and eleventh house of the ingress chart. We can expect loss within both power and support, divides on where support should be placed, loss of religious support, supporters revoking support and becoming ‘enemies.’ Any threat to power or authority will not be processed correctly and end in misdirected energy. There may be confusion about the topics surrounding those in authority (think of the Mitch McConnell “situation.”)
Midpoints to Mars

Now that we have the planets’ natures narrowed down, we can more accurately read the midpoints.
Midpoints to Mars from the conjunction chart:

Summary and Events
This is a lot of information to take in, and likely you now know why predictive astrology can be hard. But layering techniques can really help narrow down events and give us a more clear understanding. My current process has always been using traditional techniques with the additional layer of midpoints to get a more clear picture. I generally read all of the midpoints to the ‘traditional’ planets for delineations. For the purpose of reading time in this post I only wrote about Mars’ midpoints. The midpoints narrow down houses and signs of influence with the planet and the ones it interacts with.
Before I post events associated with these delineations, I want to mention most of these can be explained with only my Jyotish analysis, even without midpoints. BUT the only reason i have this chart is because it was the moment Mars conjoined Uranus. So I believe these planets have significance, if not only just magnifying the energy of the planets that conjoin them. I want to continue to explore the ways to use these outer planets in a way that is cohesive with the already existing structure of astrology, and I hope you all enjoy the ride. I don’t claim this to be truth, i claim it to be curiosity and exploration.
Events
I am typing all of the headlines and events I kept in my notebook, if you want to google them to verify go ahead… I’m far to lazy to link to all of them, I apologize lol. (I have my Mars in Taurus lol)

Maybe there is a use for the outer planets, but knowing how to integrate their influence is something we need to experiment with, with a spark of curiosity and creativity to merge the old with the new.
