Lunar Eclipse

Like a burning seed being planted into the Earth, the full Lunar Eclipse will be setting on the Western Horizon as the Sun begins to rise. There are a lot of similarities between the Lunar Eclipse and the Solar Eclipse, their charts and the activation times for the eclipses are similar. Themes from both wont reach their activation point for about a year. With recent news of the war that began in Iran between these eclipses, I’m worried how long it will take for the repercussions of our actions to play out.
I touched on some of the war themes of the Solar Eclipse, but mostly hoped it would just be about nuclear energy for AI… turns out it also pans out as AI helping with war over ‘nuclear themes.’ I try to not get too ‘doomy’ and gloomy, but this next year will be a loud one, especially when looking at the incoming Aries Ingress that is coming later this month.
When comparing the Lunar Eclipse chart to the Solar Eclipse chart, we can see that a few planets have shifted houses. Mars is in Aquarius now, Venus is now exalted in Pisces, and the Moon is in Leo.
The first house Aquarius in both charts aligns with the Second House of the Capricorn ingress, highlighting resources, morals, and also nuclear reserves. I link nuclear energy to the second, fourth, and ninth houses. When reading these themes together we can see that bringing the 1st/7th and 2/8 house energy from these charts there are themes of strained relationships due to fear, resources, and war. Strained relationships will be against enemies, but also with allies. I’ll get more into World Astrology predictions further in this article.
Tension
The Moon is situated in Purva Phalguni, which is usually more associated with seeing the best in people. Taking the themes of the Moon being eclipsed, though, brings some malefic associations to the energy. We may be prone to see the best in people against our best judgement, or we may be more prone to assume people have hidden motives. Whatever these relationships are, there is that lack of substance or foundation to provide true communication and understanding. We may feel pulled to immediately paint someone as the enemy, or have an excuse ready when someone questions our own authority. We may see simple kindness and generosity as a means of control, rather than someone just trying to help us out. There’s almost a hint of paranoia due to the lack of and unwillingness to reach an understanding. Mercury retrograde in the first house doesn’t help with this energy of misunderstandings, especially as it is co-present the Sun and opposite the Moon. Mars also co-present the Sun brings in the fiery energy of our reactions to these themes.
Quick on the draw, against our best judgements.
There is a destructive energy being carried through the first house with Mars, Sun, Rahu, and the retrograde Mercury. Other astrologers may try to sugar coat this as ‘new beginnings.’ In reality, this is more comparable to a wildfire burning everything in its path. It pains me to consider, especially after the bombing of the Iranian all-girls school over the weekend, but this isn’t the end to the inhumane horrors we will see inflicted over the next year. Mercury can represent children, and our country seems ok with them being a casualty of their greed.
As further context, I’ve had my eyes on the relations with Iran for a couple years as an astrologer. This isn’t about nuclear weapons, but resources (2nd house again.) Iran has resources like oil, but also resources used for technology development. Iran has one of the largest zinc, copper, and iron reserves in the world. In March of 2025 a large reserve of a rare metalloid for tech and military use, antimony, was discovered in Iran. It is expected to be about ten percent of the global reserves of the metalloid. The greed of our country is invading to expand it’s tech and military even further through wanting to take these natural resources. Innocent people will lose their lives for something so useless.
I wouldn’t label this as ‘new beginnings.’ I label it more as destruction with the intent of conquering. Burning a forest to plant a new one. Fanning a wildfire while safely seated on the outskirts, dreaming of what can be created from the rubble and ash. Not worrying of who is caught in the flames.
On a personal level, we can try to reign this chaotic energy in. Use it to burn the bridges we’ve waited to long to set aflame. Likely, though, we will more often be trying to put out various fires in our lives with regards to relationships in particular.
Check where your houses of Leo and Aquarius are in your chart. Then bring these themes of relationships into the mix. For example, I have a fourth house Aquarius and tenth house Leo. Relationships in the home and at my job are at a focus right now. For me, personally with Ketu conjoined my natal Venus who happens to rule my seventh and twelfth houses, intimate relationships are also at a focus. The themes of authority, control, and isolation a theme of my recent ponderings on the matter. Things that happened in the home, and trauma that’s isolated me. In contrast to my thoughts and history with eclipses in the house of my Venus, this eclipse season has been really chill. Most of my thoughts are on how this transit can happen in such a chill way in a relationship, and my negative experiences in my abusive relationship of the past. Instead of being trafficked, I’m playing videogames side-by-side with my boyfriend. Both totally consumed in our own video game worlds, disconnected and disassociated, but with each other. True love of the mentally ill haha.
Mars is bringing in tension around health and social breakdown from its transit through the Naksatra Satabhisa. There’s an energy of compassion fatigue setting in, as a more stern energy replaces comfort. When we need to approach a situation with planning, tenderness, or care, we may be quickly to irritate instead. Words used to shame may be weaponized, instead of acknowledging one’s part in the destruction. We will spend a lot of time battling through confusion, trying to find the root cause of problems rather than ‘treating symptoms.’ If we cant find a way to help at the root of the issue, we will feel not useful to the situation at all and put in little effort.
With Mars and Mercury trine the retrograde Jupiter in Gemini, I could see a lot of blaming others for bad decisions we have made. Expect to also see our government shift blame for mistakes or miscalculations it makes, in the war, on their enemies. Substance is being fabricated to describe the motives for war, clarity is obscured as the Moon’s light is blocked from our view.

Officials trying to look ‘collected’ when clearly losing a battle of their own making.
Epstein Files coverups will slowly dissolve as officials run out of ideas. Someone in the files may be bribed or offered to give information publicly.
Letters of resignation, termination, endings etc.
Widespread protests, possibly linked to the death of a journalist or politician’s death.
Secrets being uncovered.
Breaking of contracts and splitting of assets.
Losses and separation due to fraud, theft, or plague.
We have a long year ahead, there will be war, loss, and confusion. We will be paving our way through uncharted grounds looking for a semblance of a foundation to plan our foreseeable future on. For most of us, this will be a focus on personal relationships in specific areas of our lives, our mental and physical health, and the support we give and receive in these relationships. The eclipses secrets will slowly reveal themselves to us over the next twelve months, as we slowly shift and adjust to our new reality.
For the governing bodies, I see strained relationships, failed conquests, and honestly speaking a lot of shit in order to avoid any accountability. Secrets will be revealed, which i can see as the Epstein Files case continuing to slowly open up over the next year as well. We may learn of more ‘classified’ information, possibly related to the files but also other areas of interest, that makes those in powerful positions look bad to humans with morals, so brace yourselves! There is a prominent death linked to this eclipse, along with a possible death of a reporter, on top of the death of an authority figure from the Solar Eclipse.
The powers around us are shifting, my advice is spend time with those you love and get yourself a little treat every once in a while to tend to the mental toll and fogginess of this incoming period. This is a great time to feel out relationships, and quickly nip them at the bud if needed. It’s a good time to be wary of peoples words and know who you deeply trust. And lastly, it’s a good time to take care of yourself both mentally and physically. It’ll be easy to neglect our own needs, but try to fight the current every now and then.
