As I’m typing this I’m thinking about the event chart I need to delineate for my Mother’s vacation, reading my brother’s future in his solar revolution chart, and about how I need to get started on my New Moon post and Eclipse activation posts in the next week. It’s been busy this Capricorn season so far, and we can really see that with Mars residing in the tenth house of the ingress chart, retrograde, and in fall. In Vedic astrology, though, a planet in fall but retrograde can tend to act more exalted in nature. We may have found ourselves to be reserving our energy, working on interpersonal relationships, particularly ones with friction that seem to erupt frequently in conflict, and balancing our checkbooks to plan for the coming year. We are focused on the concrete important things that fuel our lives and bring sustenance, whether that be mending within quarrels or figuring out how to get by during financial trouble. Check the house of Capricorn in your sidereal chart, and see what additional themes of focus may be during this retrograde. For example, I have Capricorn in my third house, which is bringing in a focus on work (I’m a sex worker and the 3H has associations with sex and my job) and my writing. I currently am chasing some new opportunities within my work, while also beginning to learn Sanskrit, and planning on how to save up for an Indian Astrology Diploma course to further my education in Vedic Astrology. Other themes are revolving around being more direct in my communication with those I’m in intimate relationships with, and focusing on making sure I’m clear with my words and intent.
Within a broad world astrology perspective, we have a lot going on. I’m going to begin by going through the planets in the order I read them, which was something more intuitive than anything but I feel that may serve a purpose. I started my delineation with the planet Venus, because the Capricorn ingress occurred on a Venus day, during Venus hour. I’m going to compile my delineations relatively straight forward without a lot of astro-jargon, but I will provide charts for those who know how to read them so you can follow along. If you have any questions about how I came to any delineations, feel free to send me a dm! I’m always excited to talk about astrology, it’s possible we will gain even more additional insight together!
The Bulk of It

Venus is at the bottom of the chart in the fourth house, ruled by Saturn in the fifth. A lot of my delineations around Venus come back to restrictions on the rights of both women and minorities within the country. One of the main ways I’m delineating this is from Venus being averse to both lights, the Sun and Moon. In the past this configuration brought in the reversal of Roe v. Wade and laws associated with making abortion illegal. There will also be a focus on praising “traditional American values” and pro-creation as a means of survival which brings values of fascism in as a sharper focus for the country’s future. There seems to be a focus on “buying American-made” goods to support our economy, and I can only assume this is a result of the possible tariffs enforced by Trump when he begins his term. Within the midpoints to Venus, there are a lot of connections between the third and sixth house, tying in the significant Vernal Point, showing these Venusian themes will be on the forefront of society and inescapable for many. The third and sixth house connected with the fourth can also bring in significations of litigation and legislation through law, and reinforces that rights will be attacked legally, while also making me consider if laws around divorce come out of the woodwork. I’m thinking the way laws would come to affect the process of divorce would be by states pushing to ban “no-fault” divorces, which would make it incredibly hard for women to leave marriages.
With traditional values being so pursued in the chart, I’m also seeing that artists, musicians, directors, and the like will be promoting these values, either outwardly through their own speech or through their creations. Expect an increase in hit tv shows that showcase more traditional family dynamics as well as promising stories of success under capitalism. There is a push to uphold the current social and economic ways in the United States and this will be reinforced by what seems to be to more popular and consumed media, in order to reinforce these ideas to the people as ‘good’ and ‘moral.’
Saturn is in the fifth house of Aquarius, within it’s moolatrikona degrees, and conjoined to the Lot of Fortune. My first thought here is a panic over lower birth rates, troubles within birth, and further restrictions on abortion furthering the likelihood of mothers facing complications. Saturn is in an exact opposition to the Moon which strongly reinforces this signification, while Mars is six signs from Saturn and twelve Signs from the Moon bringing in themes of surgery and injuries during labor. With Mars being ruled by the Moon in the tenth house of Cancer, while the Moon resides in the eleventh house of Leo trine it’s ruler, I’m expecting more anger from the people to come out about the healthcare system and debts within the private insurance system our country uses. This also greatly affects doctors and their work, not being able to treat a patient because the insurance wont cover the treatment is a common workplace stressor for a lot of healthcare workers, it prevents them from performing their jobs efficiently. It’s likely we will be hearing doctors’ points of view on the subject in months to come, and how it affects their ability to save lives and treat their patients.
This dynamic between Saturn and Venus also brings in troubles for minorities under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. With promoting traditional fascist views within the country, this comes hardly as a surprise for those of us who fall within this umbrella. I know we are expecting it to happen, and within the dynamics of the chart there are indications for introductions of legislation to start restricting the rights of LGBTQ+ people, but more of a focus on the cultural and “moral” dynamics within society. We are living through a time where certain religious ideals are being fed to the people of the country, all while Rahu is transiting through Pisces. When Rahu ingresses into Aquarius, and Saturn ingresses into Pisces, I think we will see the dynamic shift from morality and society, and more into the laws placed by the government to try to push LGBTQ+ people out of view and restrict rights. The one legal introduction I could see pushed through the first few months of the year would be one that affects trans people in general, and likely involves making it harder to access surgeries and medications.
This brings me to the Moon, which brings in themes of weaponizing emotions within the dynamics of this ingress chart. Emotions will be purposefully spurred by media to bring in the specific point of view that is to be projected onto us. One example of how this is already occurring is with the Luigi Mangione case. A whole documentary was released about Luigi by 20/20 before his trial has even began, to try to sway the American people from referring to him as a hero. The reason people see him as heroic should bring no surprise when you consider he killed a CEO who made his profits from denying insurance coverage and consequently caused the deaths of many patients.
Media will try to sway our opinions on bigger topics like this, in areas that the government is afraid are unstable to try to prevent a mass shift in public opinion on the rich and ruling classes in the country. To much their own demise though, with the Moon in Leo being in trine with it’s ruler in the third house, I see people being more vocal about their distrust with the ruling and rich classes.
This brings us to Jupiter who is ruling the third and sixth houses, while residing in the eighth and retrograde in motion. This is intimately connected with the delineations of Mercury, who is opposing Jupiter from the second house in Scorpio, and trine both Mars and Rahu. The Sun is also averse to both Mercury and Jupiter, bringing in a dynamic of the rich and powerful being at the head of the government. This can already be seen with Elon Musk having a strong hand in the outcome of the government spending bill earlier this month. Musk is already facing criticism for how much power he holds over the government while not being an elected official himself.
With this dynamic, it’s easy to see that our government is incredibly swayed by their concept of power, money, and information gathering. If I could place user-data, in terms of the data harvested from our use of electronics, on the zodiacal wheel it would be the second house. This data is a resource that the government can use to hold power over their people and possibly other countries as well, and with Mercury residing in the second house of Scorpio opposite Jupiter i can see a lot of the decisions of governing officials spawning from this second and eighth house dynamic. Whether they make deals to access data for their own use, or they make deals in order to avoid their own information breaking out to the public. One interesting way I see this already happening is President-Elect Trump suddenly telling the Supreme Court to not pass a TikTok ban, after years of us being told TikTok is a threat to national security due to the data they collect. Mercury in Scorpio will also have a way of revealing how surveillance is being used as a resource for the government, and which items we have in our own homes that may be surveilling us. I saw an article about a specific air fryer that has been logging user data, but may have also been recording voice conversations in the vicinity as well.

Mercury is trine both Rahu and Mars and is linked to significations that the surveillance that is a mutual bad for the people, is a prosperous good for the rich and powerful. They can use this data to study and influence us, and they can sell the data for large profits. Surveillance is a resource within the dynamics of the society we reside, and will be leveraged against our best interests. I’m predicting an increase in general surveillance technology we are aware of as well, for example legislation that may require you to use your ID for an internet passport to access adult sites.
The Sun is bringing up themes of an overly confident appearing government, even within all the dynamics I just mentioned, it’s likely our leaders will have an optimistic outlook and have a focus on “progress.” We will be told not to worry about the things that concern us. The Descendant in Aries is trine the Sun, but it’s ruler Mars is averse the Sun. This makes me think we are going to blindly follow our allies further into wars, further into the current genocide in Gaza, and consider our allies’ needs before the citizens of our country themselves. Mars being in a sign of family, the body, and people in general brings me to believe that more military assets, including military troops, will be sent overseas in the many wars the US currently has a hand in. I wouldn’t be shocked if there are more causalities to our side than the United States is used to.

Mars is bringing in trade restrictions, and investments overseas are becoming less profitable. I see an increase of nationalism in many configurations of this chart, but also troubles with trade and resources. As we prioritize data as a resource, the significations for food and necessities seem more restricted across the board. Significations of farms not having as many yields, particularly within the live-stock sect, and significations of bird flu seem concerning on top of troubles with international trade. A big focus of the year will be financial due to the Ascendant being in Libra for this chart. I could see this being fuel for tax cuts for the rich, but also tax cuts for big corporate owned farms to keep costs down during a looming second pandemic. I’ve been following both Covid-19 and the bird flu since 2020, and the astrology of both for about two years now. Mars in the tenth house is currently in the Naksatra Pusya.
One of the symbols for Naksatra Pusya is a cow udder. I find symbols associated with Naksatras to be quite prominent and literal in how they may show up in life. The exaltation ruler of Cancer, the sign Mars and this Naksatra fall in, is Jupiter who is also in a sign associated with farm animals and currently retrograde. Pusya can bring in themes of mothering and nourishment, and when considered within the dynamics of Mars’ and Jupiter’s placements it leads to the delineations of products from farmed animals not being as nourishing, or tainted in some way. Diving in deeper, Mars is in the third carana, or sub-division, of the Naksatra Pusya and brings in significations of Libra which happens to be the Ascendant of the Capricorn Ingress. Libra is ruled by the fourth house Venus in Capricorn who is feeling it’s own restrictions but also opposite Mars who is bringing harm as well. During both Mars and Jupiter’s retrogrades, we will see themes of trying to save farms from financial turmoil, but also may begin to see the effects of this restriction on our food. Prices of foods that are impacted by the bird flu pandemic will likely rise, while there may be larger scale shortages gearing up as we head into next year’s Aries ingress.
I expect Mars retrograding into Gemini on January 21st will be the beginning of more human cases, while Jupiter is still retrograde in Taurus impacting farms. Jupiter stations direct in the beginning of February, while Mars finishes up it’s transit in Gemini. Mars leaves the sign of Gemini and re-enters Cancer on April 2, while Jupiter enters Gemini on it’s own on May 14 just days after Mars leaves the Pusya Naksatra for the second time. With how I’ve seen Jupiter play out during covid, Jupiter transits seem to bring in scientists and studies who want to protect the health of people. The main transits at the beginning of covid and the bird flu included Jupiter in Sagittarius, the opposing sign of Gemini, and frequently major transits led to shut downs, mask mandates, and an influx of information about the viruses. Now that Jupiter is opposing its position from the beginning of these dual pandemics, there will be an increase in their significance in terms of trying to make plans on how to prevent human-to-human spread and keep the number of deaths low. I could see a lot of pushback about the seriousness of H5N1 within human-to-human transmission, especially since over the past five years public trust in the medical community has been lacking. We are in the midst of a mass-debilitating sars-covid-19 pandemic, and asking someone to wear a mask feels burdensome because there is so much misguided anger around wearing masks and protecting the community. Public trust in vaccines has declined, and with a new US Health Secretary, RFK Jr., it’s likely vaccines won’t be as funded and food safety will be taken less seriously. With the rise in distrust around pandemic protections, I can’t see this opposition as something that will be prosperous for the health of the people, no matter how much scientists and health specialists try to spread to word about the dangers of both covid and bird flu.
Midpoint Specifics
The analysis, up until this section, was provided through reading the zodiacal wheel of the ingress along with two divisional charts, the d9 and d12 charts. Where in this section we are going to zoom in on some prominent midpoint significations I see playing out. Midpoints to Venus bring in a strength between the ruling class and rich, and how they are going to be pushing legislature that benefits them. This isn’t too out of the ordinary, but i could see an influx of laws that protect CEOs, liquid assets, and the financial markets in general.
Midpoints to the Sun show an increase in topics involving allies and businesses in the country. We have South Node/Neptune falling on the Sun bringing the twelfth and sixth houses into the third, and I see this playing out as an increase in worker strikes in order to form unions or get benefits at their places of work, but also a big increase in their failure and and increase in union busting in general. This may even include physical outbreaks and police at these union strikes as tensions increase, and people on strike being more likely to arrested and taken to jail.
Midpoints to the Moon are showing sudden events with allies, sudden deals that bring benefit, while also deceiving the public. This ties back into both media and the government stressing a capitalist and traditionalist mindset, while broadcasting these traits as the moral good of society. I could see themes of implying disabled or poor people ‘deserve’ their circumstances as well with the ideologies that are currently floating around concerning eugenics tied to the Nodal Axis and their interactions with planets that aspect the Moon.
Midpoints to Saturn seem to solidify the issues for farmers and their yields, while also implying this is tied to sickness of their crops or livestock. Saturn is also bringing in themes of the suffering of women and minorities within the country, and is something we will have broadcasted to us often with the Moon forming a midpoint with the Mercury/Jupiter midpoint in the eleventh house. There will be talk about women’s rights, sex worker rights, minority rights, and how the government isn’t supporting any of these people currently.
Midpoints to Mercury, while keeping in mind the themes from the previous delineations I wrote, bring in secrecy between allies of the United States and sharing this information. Trust will be frail between the United States and other countries, and at this point it looks like we are trying to find out what other countries “know” during these ongoing wars. There will likely be information coming to light about ‘spying’ done by other countries, and our own, to stir up nationalism and keep people in the United States in fear of enemies and looming war. So many of the midpoints tie the eleventh and fifth house into the second, which makes me feel like the more our country knows, the more leverage it has over the resources of others while keeping an “upper hand” over these countries.
Midpoints to Mars are highlighting a lot of the themes around unions and strikes that I have written about. It’s showing quarrels in the work place, and masses in action working together toward common goals. I can see class solidarity growing within communities and these communities feeling confident to try to bring about change, whether that’s in a smaller scale at the workplace, or on a larger scale trying to begin legal action against those who have too much control over a field because of their financial status. There will be protests over class issues more than a political right vs left dynamic.
Midpoints to Jupiter bring in themes of, this isn’t going to be surprising at all, swindling. The specific midpoint of MC/Neptune falling on the eighth house Jupiter is bringing in financial gains in the markets for the rich, but also the rich using their words to cover up those gains and make it seem more palpable to the public. With MC/Vernal Point also landing on Jupiter, it’s bringing in a visibility regardless, there will likely be a lot of financial decisions that are not for the best interest of the people and primarily for the interest of serving the rich and powerful for their own selfish “needs.” Moon and Saturn also form a midpoint to Jupiter, bringing in a distance from the people of the country, and trying to solidify the separation between the rich and poor. There will likely be a lot of flaunting wealth, and likening of wealth to morality and intelligence.
With all of this in mind, my advice until the Aries Ingress is to be mindful of propaganda you see. Take note of what it’s trying to stir up inside of you, and be very discerning of any information you receive from the media. We have a chaotic few months ahead which include a transfer in power for our government that is already de-stabilized in many ways and influenced by money and power rather than the people of the country. I’m looking forward to the silver linings we will find in our personal lives, and how we will seemingly begin to heal within the chaos of the world around us. I look forward to making more personal-life horoscope posts within this world astrology dynamic to help you all find the pleasures that are still out there for us, and warn of the troubles to come. Thank you for reading, it means so much to me and my work.
